Court Inspections

The Council is entitled to inspect and guard all Courts in order to check and control the good functioning of the Justice Administration.

The Inspection Service complies with this legal authority, without prejudice of the jurisdictioon of the inspection granted to other governing bodies of the different courts. It has its headquarters in Madrid.

The Inspection Service of the Council:

  • Undertake actions and visits to Courts agreed by the Council.
  • Receives and checks the reports made by the citizens, without prejudice of the competences of the Citizen Service Unit. 
  • Will carry out, under the dependency of the Permanent Committee, the functions of checks and control of the functioning of Judicial Administration services.
