What is the HCJ Castile and Leon?

The High Court of Castile and Leon is the superior organ and culmination of the justice system in the autonomous community, without affecting the jurisdiction that corresponds to the Supreme Court (article 152 of the Constitution) or those matters that require constitutional guarantees, competence that corresponds to the Constitutional Court.

It is a panel of judges located in Burgos consisting of civil and criminal courts, a contentious administrative court, and a labour court. 

It has a president, who is also the president of the criminal and civil court, court presidents and magistrates who perform their duties in the courts. In the case of Castile and León, the labour and contentious administrative courts are located in Burgos and Valladolid.  

The chairman of the TSJ of Castile and Leon is the highest representative of the Judiciary in the Autonomous.
