The Council is responsible for the official publication and the custody of sentences and other resolutions set by the High Court of Justice and other judicial bodies (Article 560.1.10ª LOPJ).

The Center of Judicial Documentation (Cendoj) constitutes the center of management of knowledge in the judicial field. This technical body - Article 619 LOPJ - has its head offices in San Sebastián..

The Center of Judicial Documentation is in charge of:

• The compilation, filing, certification and custody of the sentences in order to watch over its integrity, authenticity and access.
• The processing of the sentences in order to comply with the legislation in matter of protection of personal data.
• La circulation of sentences. They are aimed to the citizens, the Judicial Career, the public administrations and the editorial companies for their reuse.
• The publication and distribution of publications of the Council and the management of queries of jurisprudential, legal and doctrinal information, as well as the coordination of all judicial libraries in the country and of the service of information and communication through the Web environment of the Judiciary.
• Collaborate in the implementation of decisions adopted by the General Council of the Judiciary in matters of harmonisation of computer systems that mean a greater efficiency in Court activity.
