Groups of experts

The group of experts in Domestic and Gender-based is a working group that contributes and advises the General Council of the Judiciary in this matter. Today it is made up of eight judges, with a lawyer of the Council contributing to their work. Judicial members of the Observatory are present at the meetings.

The Group of experts, among other activities, is in charge of the following:

  • To draw up guidelines that contribute to a good judicial practice.  
  • To study the application of a Comprehensive Law.
  • To analyse the sentences passed by the Courts of the Jury in Spain and by the Provincial Courts in cases of homicide and  murder perpetrated by the partner or ex-partner.
