Poderjudicial.es portal and online environments

The CENDOJ is responsible for designing, developing and managing the public and private web portal www.poderjudicial.es, as well as managing its content and technical aspects.

On the website poderjudicial.es you can find a wide range of information about the General Council of the Judiciary and Spanish courts, and it is the vehicle through which you can access most of the services provided by the CENDOJ.

The “TOPICS” section details the matters that the General Council of the Judiciary is responsible for, and the “SERVICES” section provides direct access to the various applications and services.

As well as the section of the CGPJ itself, the www.poderjudicial.es portal offers specific sections for the courts of Justice, including the Supreme Court, the National High Court, and the 17 High Courts of Justice which encompass all of the collegiate bodies in each Autonomous Region.

Furthermore, the CENDOJ has developed the Transparency Portals of the General Council of the Judiciary and of the aforementioned Courts, which it updates on a daily basis, covering all requirements of law 19/2013, the provisions of the International Transparency agreement and other matters that the General Council of the Judiciary wants to reflect upon.

In the public domain, as well as giving citizens easier access to information from the CGPJ and the courts, highlighting the most relevant activities, it gives free access to more than 6 million judicial decisions. The basic institutional information is shown in the four official languages, as well as French and English.

The website has become a primary means of disseminating the activities and services of the General Council of the Judiciary, as well as for carrying out judicial work. The exclusive area for members of the Judiciary is also an essential work tool and a platform to create, publish and share content of professional interest.

It is maintained with special emphasis on the accessibility and usability of the website. In the first case, to ensure that it can be used on equal terms by users who suffer from any type of disability. In the second case, to enable a user experience focused on browsing and the interrelated search for information.

The centre also attaches the utmost importance to guaranteeing the protection and security of computer servers, of the web Portal and of the email poderjudicial.es, managing an in-house Data Centre to this end.

With the same objective of providing the maximum level of security, members of the Judiciary have a corporate email under the domain @poderjudicial.es, which is managed and maintained by the CENDOJ.

All of this requires maintenance, protection and technical development to ensure proper functioning of the platform on which the web services are based, to ensure efficient functioning; the constant development and update of the website architecture, as well as uploading documents and information and publishing the files, documents and the rest of the content on the portal poderjudicial.es.

The CENDOJ provides access to the internet, offering an on-the-move data access service for all members of the Judiciary.

It also draws up and implements a training plan in the use of web resources, enabling the permanent and personalised training of judicial staff, and it offers users a centralised support service.
