The Military Chamber of the Supreme Court shall hear (Art. 23 of Organic Law 4/1987): 

1. The appeals for reversal and review which the Law establishes, against the decisions of the Central Military Court and the Territorial Military Courts.

2. They are also responsible for the investigation and trial in a single instance of proceedings for crimes and non-disciplinary offences under Military Jurisdiction that are initiated against Field Marshals, Army Generals, General Admirals, Air Force Generals, Lieutenant Generals and Admirals, whatever their military situation, as well as members of the Central Military Court, the Military State Prosecutor, State Prosecutors of the Military Chamber of the Supreme Court as well as the State Prosecutor of the Central Military Court. 3. Incidents of challenges against one or two Judges of the Chamber or against more than two members of the Justice Chamber of the Central Military Court.

4. Appeals against decisions dictated by the Investigating Magistrate referred to in Article 30, in cases determined by Procedural Law./i>

5. Of the appropriate judicial remedy in matters of military discipline against the sanctions imposed or reformed by the Ministry of Defence, or sanctions imposed, confirmed and reformed by the Government Chamber of the Central Military Court. 6. Jurisdictional appeals against judicial disciplinary sanctions imposed on those exercising judicial, prosecutorial or court reporting functions who do not belong to the Chamber.

7. Appeals on jurisdictional conflicts that admit their regulatory Law against first instance decisions by the Central Military Court.

8. Attempts to claim errors by organs of military jurisdiction for the purposes of establishing the liability of the State, aside from the provisions of Article 61.5 of the Organic Law on Judicial Power.
