Judicial Ethics in Ibero-America

The Commission seeks to promote the dissemination and knowledge of the Ibero-American Code of Judicial Ethics in the 23 countries that are part of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit.

To that end, it is advisable to promote the exchange and participation with other national commissions, such as the case of the Spanish Commission for Judicial Ethics, established on 9 May 2018.

It would also be advisable to further the universal and European dimension of the Commission 's activities.

The Commission participates and collaborates with associations and organisations of the United Nations within the framework of the Bangalore Principles of Judicial Conduct.

Likewise, it is necessary to attempt to link the work of the Ibero-American Commission with the bodies and associations of the European Union.

The members of the Commission endeavour to propagate and disseminate the Ibero-American Code and the decisions issued.
