Ibero-American Network of International Judicial Aid

In the efforts to create an -American Judicial Space, we have created the Ibero-American Network of Judicial Aid (IberRED). It has the aim to be a facilitating tool for judicial aid in the Ibero-American scope, creating a network of legal operators who carry out tasks of active mediation, speeding up, reinforcing, simplification and facilitation of the traditional mechanisms of international judicial cooperation, notwithstanding the scope of competence of the Legislative Branch and Executive branches of the different States.

Created in October of 2004, IberRED is integrated by national correspondents of the Supreme Courts of Justice, of the Judiciary Councils, of the Public Ministries and the Ministries of Justice or Central Authorities of the countries of the Ibero-American Community of Nations.

The Permanent Secretary of the IberRED is held by the Secretary of the Ibero-American Conference of Ministries of Justice, assumed by the Spanish Ministry of Justice.

Apart from the operative work, IberRED celebrates meetings every year of its contact persons, and develops research in the working groups made for this purpose.
